About the Awards
The Teachers' Choice Award is an annually event for
products around the world held by Learning® Magazine.
Eighty teams of teachers from across the United States evaluated over 400
different products in the classroom. The products are evaluated on quality,
instructional value, ease of use and innovation. Teachers' Choice is the only awards program that is judged by
teachers in the classroom.

Quality.
Concepts/virtues/values covered for young children.
The topics and way they are approached are perfect for our school.
The colorful and cheery illustrations.
The lessons taught in each story.
I liked the modern day slant to the stories.

backgrounds.

How did you make use of the product?
Stories were read to
class, discussed. I used extra
items offered on the internet to enhance (worksheets).
I would use it to introduce or conclude concepts learned.
I read the books to class during oral free read time.
Read stories during story time.
Children read them and then we discussed.
The children and I read them to illustrate the results of good and bad behavior
at storytime.
How did your students react to the product?
Loved it!
Wanted to re-read stories, they liked the big size and big colorful
pictures.
Greatly enjoyed.
Students were captivated. We do a
fairy tale unit and it was fun for the students to see semi-familiar characters
in a different setting.
Some were really impressed with lesson presented.
Older children liked reading stories independently.
They enjoyed the titles provided and seemed to
glean the character education featured in each book.
